PhysioCue, Inc. Therapy Device Presentation Wins First Place of SVEF Startup Competition
SUNNYVALE, CA - (May 3, 2017) - PhysioCue, Inc. announced today that their PhysioCue 2.0 Hypertension Reduction Therapy Device (HRTD) presentation received the winning score at yesterday's Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Festival (SVEF) at the Santa Clara Convention Center. PhysioCue's patented 2.0 HRTD can non-invasively, immediately and sustainably lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients with a daily 5-minute therapy application to the carotid artery sinus on the surface of the patient's neck.
PhysioCue founder and CEO Simon Yi said, "Our enhanced-functioning 2.0 therapy device provides immediate and safe cold-tip and micro-vibration therapy, and has our embedded, patent-pending PPG/ECG BP biosensor that records the user's blood pressure, before and after therapy, from just two fingers - No more Blood Pressure Cuffs! The BP data is automatically recorded on the device for up to 90 days and is transmitted to the PhysioCue mobile app for analysis and dissemination to the patient's physician or family members."
Yi further stated, "Our revolutionary 2.0 HRTD can be used with or without standard anti-hypertension medications and typically lowers systolic and diastolic blood pressure by at least 20mmHg and 10mmHg, respectively. Hypertension patients can now have their blood pressure monitored remotely, by their physician, in real time."
PhysioCue was launced in 2013 and has multiple design and utility patents issued and pending, both in the U.S. and internationally.
PhysioCue, Inc. is a privately held company located in the heart of Silicon Valley at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, CA.
